Maintaining the "Standard" in Wooden Block Sets...

Commonly referred to as "old-fashioned blocks", our wooden blocks are based on the traditionally accepted dimensional standard of 1 & 3/8 inches. This is the source of their common name, "Standard unit building blocks".

In keeping with our goal of producing the best possible wooden block sets

• Our wooden blocks, technically called "unit blocks" are manufactured using the solid, non splintering, heavy wooden known as Northern Hard Maple. (Maple is very resistant to denting).
• Every surface of each of our wooden blocks is sanded smooth and all edges and all corners are rounded.
• No stain, oil, lacquer or finish of any type is used on our wooden block sets.
• A damp cloth or fine sandpaper, if necessary, will remove all evidence of a child's hard use or creative artwork.

• Our wooden block sets range in size from 18 to 150 pieces with 3 sets incorporating our exclusive Block & Castle features.
• Our block sets description chart identifies the block shapes and quantity of that shape contained in each of the sets. Each of the wooden blocks may also be purchased individually.
